the farm.

Here’s another ‘retro post’, filled with shots of some farms I visited
four years ago. After a slight scare this week where I thought I lost
most of my older photos to the technology monster, I thought I’d
show them some love and throw up another retrospective. Lots of
great colours, textures and fun to find on the farm.

diner in a small town.

the best thing about taking your camera on the road is heading to small towns.
since i am a small town girl myself, in a way it feels like i am going home. and
even though i have called the city home for almost as long as the town I grew up
in, these trips always make me smile especially when life gets too complicated or
crazy. like this little diner just outside the city. filled with retro everything inside
and out. love it.

this is love.

I recently had the awesome pleasure of photographing a newly engaged couple.
We started at the school where they met and the community centre he first asked
her out 13 years ago, and ventured out to two places they had never been. The
camera picked up on their chemistry from start to finish that day and its clear
these two have a great future ahead of them. Congratulations Colby and Amanda!

i am thankful for…

girls. blue eyes. green eyes. cuddles. new teeth. smiles. laughter. giggling.
fashion shows. cartwheels. movie nights. soft hearts. funny quotes. walks.
adventures. parks. swings. ice cream. new discoveries. dancing. singing.
painting. drawing. cute noises. cries. slobber. growls. shrieks. first words.
tiny toes. button nose. bath time. story time. all the time.

lorie’s party.

“And now, here in this garden maze, getting lost, and then found, seemed the
whole point, that and the moment of willed abandonment, the unexpected
rapture of being blindly led.”
